Frequently asked questions
How many devices can I use with a single subscription?
One plan covers up to six devices at the same time, and they can be any mix of operating systems you like. A laptop, two phones, a tablet, a router, and a work machine is a perfectly ordinary setup. If you need more than six, the family plan doubles the limit without changing anything else about the service.
Does FlyShield work on Apple TV or a smart TV?
Directly, not yet. The cleanest route today is to install FlyShield on your home router, which then protects every device on the network, television included. We publish short guides for the common router firmwares, and our team can walk you through the setup if the instructions read as dense on a first pass.
Will using a VPN slow my connection?
Every VPN adds a small amount of overhead, because your traffic is encrypted and sent through an additional hop. On a modern link you should expect to lose five to ten percent of your throughput when the exit is nearby, and a little more when you reach across an ocean. For streaming and ordinary browsing, the difference is rarely perceptible.
Can I use FlyShield to watch streaming services from abroad?
Most of the major platforms work reliably with our servers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and Japan. Coverage can shift without notice, since the streaming services adjust their filtering on their own schedule. If a library that worked yesterday has become unreachable, write in and we will point you at the best current exit.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your access remains active until the end of the current billing period, and nothing is interrupted mid-month. After that, the account enters a dormant state for thirty days, during which you can return with the same credentials. If the thirty days pass without a renewal, the account and its billing history are deleted on the schedule described in the privacy policy.
Is there a free trial?
Rather than a trial, we offer a thirty-day money-back guarantee, which lets you use every feature of the paid plan and reverse the charge if the service is not the right fit. Ask by email and the refund is processed within five business days. There are no hidden clauses, no conditions tucked into a footer, and no retention call.
Do you keep logs that could be handed over in a legal request?
No connection logs, no traffic logs, and no records tying you to a particular session. What we keep is outlined in the privacy policy and is limited to billing information and anonymous aggregate counters. When a law enforcement request arrives, we respond in writing and explain that there is nothing on our side to disclose.
How do I set up FlyShield on a router?
The right steps depend on your router's firmware. Our most detailed guides cover AsusWRT, pfSense, OPNsense, and OpenWrt, and each one walks you from downloading the configuration file to verifying your exit IP in a browser. If your router runs something more unusual, write in with the make and model and we will send tailored instructions within a day.
